Sarah was tragically abducted and murdered on March 26 1986 after she went to the shop to buy a loaf of bread.
Hundreds of people spent days looking for you and we were not even close. i remember spending long days and nights looking for you with my dad.
I hope your mom and dad and sister do not mind me setting this website up for you and anyone is welcome to leave tributes and condolances.

Days come and go but i think of you everyday.

I am too the same age as Sarah, Remember this total tragedy like yesterday. I remember following this case daily, tuning into Calendar every evening for an update. It was Sarahs abduction that made me realise that life aint kind and can be totally unfair. How Sarahs family ever got through this is beyond me. To this day Sarah Harper triggers all my emotions. I remember the awful time in March 1986 when Sarah went missing. I live locally and was only 2 years older than her at the time. Me and my friend were actually in Morley that fateful night and it will always haunt me as we did see a man acting suspiciously in a car just outside the vicinity and were interviewed by the CID the day after regarding this. It turned out however not to be connected.
How sad that it was not to be that she would be found alive.

I was 11 when Sarah disappeared and I remember the story haunting me as a child. I've been thinking about Sarah a lot recently and I think it's because my children are nearly 10 and want to go to the shops by themselves.
I often wonder how families cope years later with their tragic losses. Sites like these prove how much the general public have been affected by such stories and people like myself who were the same age at the time have never forgotten.

I remember the tragic story of Sarah in 1986. I am the same age as Sarah born in 1976 and I also used to go to the coner shop for my mum. I think the reason this story has stayed with me is becuase we were the same age and it was the first abduction I really understood, at which point I was scared and started to remain vigilant when I went out. I also thought Sarah was very pretty and felt saddness for her family.
I hope who ever did this to Sarah rots in hell.
